Safety
Pipestone promotes a culture of safety through a team member centered safety and health program.

Pipestone’s cross departmental “Safe Culture Committee” works collaboratively with the safety team to
reduce injury risk through proactive training, safe procedures and employee recognition.

Pipestone safety culture is based on the belief that “The Safe Way, is The Only Way”. This is
demonstrated through our goal of 100% safety training completion.

Pipestone has a robust and proactive safety auditing program. Through the auditing process, we
seek to continuously improve the safety culture as an organization. Our target is 100% safety audit
compliance.
2024 Safety Initiatives
First Aid and AED Training Program
To show our commitment to caring, over 150 team members
were trained in the use of 昀椀rst aid and CPR this year. This life
saving training provides tools to reduce injury severity and aid in
emergency response. Pipestone also provided AEDs to 15 sow
farms in 2024.
Safety Mentorship Program
To reduce the risk of new team member injuries, Pipestone
implemented a “Safety Mentorship” program. The goal of the
mentorship program is to provide a personalized approach to
safety training and hazard identi昀椀cation. Over 100 new team
members were mentored by our safety specialists.
