Our Team
Feeding Farmers’ Success
Hannah Jasper, Nutrition Specialist
With an animal science degree from the University of WisconsinPlatteville and 12 years of experience at Pipestone, Hannah Jasper
has worn many hats across the company. She began her career in
biosecurity, safety, and animal welfare, and after gaining valuable
experience in several roles, she found her passion on the nutrition
team, where she now serves as a Nutrition Specialist.
In her role, she primarily supports Pipestone’s managed feed mills, working closely
with mill employees and shareholders to keep operations running smoothly. From
ingredient management and data entry to troubleshooting issues as they arise, her
work is a vital link between feed mills and pig owners. “Communication and problem
solving are a big part of our day,” she explains. “We’re here to make sure farmers have
the right diets in place at the best value for their operation.”
She 昀椀nds the greatest reward in the teamwork and sense of shared purpose her role
brings each day. “Our team is always willing to help—not only our customers, but
each other,” she says. That commitment to collaboration and doing what’s best for the
farmer is what makes her proud of her work. Looking back, she’s grateful for the variety
of opportunities Pipestone has provided. “It’s been rewarding to learn different things
and grow into new roles over the years,” she re昀氀ects. “Even if the work is behind the
scenes, it plays a key role in helping farmers succeed.”
Built on Relationships, Powered by Teamwork
Kari Hamann, Swine Resource Supervisor
For more than 30 years, Kari Hamann has been part of
Pipestone, building a career rooted in agriculture and customer
care. Raised on a family farm, her passion for supporting
farmers came naturally. She began her Pipestone journey in
the Information Bureau and later transitioned into customer
service, where she now serves as Supervisor of the Swine
Resource Team. “I’ve always loved the agricultural community,” she explains.
“My friends are farmers; my family are farmers—it’s rewarding to know my
work helps them succeed.”
Every day, she and her team focus on making farmers’ lives easier by ensuring
the right products arrive at the right time. Whether it’s responding to phone
calls, managing web orders, or troubleshooting shipping challenges, their
priority is accuracy, timelines, and compassion. “We’re not here to sell people
something they don’t need—we’re here to help them care for their pigs,”
she says. From handling VFDs to monitoring shipping logistics, the team’s
attention to detail makes sure farmers can focus on what matters most: their
animals.
For her, the most meaningful part of the job is seeing farmers succeed across
generations. “I’ve watched kids grow up and take over their family farms—it’s
extraordinary to witness that success,” she re昀氀ects. w both Pipestone’s culture
and her team’s dedication. “We help each other out, we don’t shy away from
problems, and we always put the farmer 昀椀rst. That’s what makes me proud of
what we do every day.”
